Jazz. Blues. Gospel. Rock. Versatile guitarist Wilbert Longmire (b. 1940) embraced them all to create his own distinctive sound. Honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Cammys (Cincinnati Area Pop Music Awards), Cincinnati-raised Longmire became a King Records session player in the 1960s, performed with Nancy Wilson in 1963, and recorded with Herbie Hancock.
